Crystals for the Knitting Witches

We returned from Rhinebeck to find all kinds of prizes and surprises awaiting the Knitting Witches. Connie Sprague who was a student in Session 2 of Dyeing to Knit sent us agates she found on the shore of Lake Michigan. Connie is from Michigan and often searches for stones along the shore much like the knitting witches would if they lived in Michigan. The area is known for rock hounds who search for chert, agate and other stones.

Connie advised us to spit on them to make them shine. Instead, we ran them under water for your enjoyment. Thank you so much, Connie!
