Dyeing to Knit Retreat: The Beginning

This past weekend we held our first ever Dyeing to Knit Retreat at the Hanson House Retreat Center in Barton Vermont. Ten students attended the opening weekend and to say we had fun was an understatement.

There was plenty of colorful dyeing at Cherry Tree Hill, knitting at Sheep to Shawl and amazing food served by Parker Pie and The Wooden Spoon. Cheryl Potter read selections from their new books and a field trip to a local alpaca farm was another wonderful extra.

All this week we’ll be sharing photos of students, teachers, field trips and yarn! Session Two begins this Thursday!

Breakfast at Hanson House! A great time for everyone to get to know each other a little better. Let me tell you - this group got along fantastically!

I love how knitters can do so many things at once! Lots of the crew were not only knitting, but were also listening and taking notes as well!
