June 3-10 Cheryl will be in Peru, teaching and writing. Her main focus will be interviewing fair trade yarn co-ops about how they get women out of the coca fields and into viable jobs handpainting yarn. Her series of articles will be published in Knit Edge magazine, edited by Shannon Oakey of Cooperative Press, beginning in September.
June 22-24 Cheryl will be taking Potluck Yarn to the TNNA (The National Needlework Association Show) national trade show in Columbus, Ohio. This is a wholesale only show, in which yarn stores will have a chance to buy the yarns, books, patterns and kits for The Broken Circle.
Cheryl has entered 3 of her designs into the Vogue fashion show and one of her staff photographers will be there to shoot the models wearing her garments on the runway. Stores will be allowed to book trunk shows, book signings and appearances with Cheryl. This is the biggest wholesale knitting event of the year and we expect to completely book for the fall and into spring of 2014. This show typically has several thousand retail stores attending.
