The first book of my new fantasy trilogy Potluck Yarn is finally finished and due out in January. I feel like I can finally come up for air and share some of my thoughts. You proabaly only know me as a pattern book writer and fiber artist, but for the past 5 years I have been working on a series of fantasy books.
This first one is called The Broken Circle: Yarns of the Knitting Witches. It’s about 12 knitting witches who rule the world and is aimed at young adults although I am hoping anyone will find it a good read.
I dedicated the book to my husband, Tim Marschke, who puts up with knitting witches every day! He has just had neck surgery and is at home recuperating while we wait for the new disc in his neck to graft. We are very thankful that we found a donor, and had no idea that people did donate bones like they do blood and organs.
We’re planning on spending some time at our cabin while I write the second book of the trilogy which I’m thinking of calling Secrets of the Lost Caves. If anyone is coming to TNNA, please come see me in the Unicorn booth where I’ll be signing books and pattern books. I am developing a whole line of new yarns and colorways to go along with the stories of the knitting witches. I hope you like them!
