I Knit (And Imbibe) In London: Part 1

photo 1

While in the UK recently, I visited my friend Gerard Allt who owns I Knit London.  It’s the only yarn store in the city –or anywhere that I know of– that is also a licensed pub serving beers, wines and local ciders.  According to Gerard, I Knit London is a “yarn sanctuary” with focus on his two favorite past times, knitting and drinking.

It’s not as strange as it sounds.  London has a heavy pub culture that features socializing.  “It’s not about getting wrecked,” Gerard explained.  “It’s about community.”

Stay tuned for more fun quotes and pictures from London!
