First Broken Circle Trunk Show
This past weekend we had our first trunk show for The Broken Circle at The Knitter’s Edge in PA.
I have not dyed all the yarn for all of the kits, yet, but I did send some of Aubergine’s Magic Wraps and Simmer Shawls down. On the front cover of the book, the tall witch Aubergine is shown wearing the magic wrap and the other character Smokey Jo, wears the Smoken Cowl.
Unfortunately, I did not have any of the yarn plus the colorway is brand new and I have only dyed it once.
Smokey Jo’s Smoken Cowl Is Back
So, I ordered a new yarn from Plymouth called Sakkie and I’m going to show you the new colorway.
Sakkie is a luxury kid mohair and merino blend with a touch of nylon. As you may recall, Smokey Jo is a firestarter–nowadays we would call her a pyromaniac–and the colors are a series of indigos, blacks and rusts, inspired by birch bark burning in the cook stove in the Potluck Yarn kitchen.
The kit will retail for $29 and I hope to get them up for sale at The Supersock Store this week.
Book Signings, Classes and Trunk Shows

Both The Broken Circle novel and pattern book are now available together or separately online from Potluck Yarn, the Supersock Store and Amazon or at The Knitter’s Edge in Bethlehem, PA. If you are a yarn store seeking a wholesale account, you can contact Unicorn Books, our distributor.
