Outtakes from a Photo Shoot

Today graphic designer Joel LaCoss and I did a photo shoot for stand-alone patterns from a book I wrote several years ago, called Skein for Skein.  The book was the last of a series I did with Martingale and it is now out of print.  It featured 16 garments that you could knit 3 different ways depending upon fiber and color choices within your yarn.

I picked my favorite 16 looks and Joel shot them on a local model at the new Hanson Farm Retreat Center which is opening in September 2013.  You may remember Joel as the photographer for The Broken Circle Companion Pattern Book.

Joel used to work full time for Cherry Tree Hill but now has moved on to greener pastures in Burlington, Vermont.  I asked him to share some of his favorite outtakes from the photo shoot—not necessarily the ones we will be using for the patterns.

Single patterns for Skein for Skein will be available at Patternfish, Potluck Yarn and Cherry Tree Hill.
