Potluck Yarn Call For Designs

Smokey Jo wrestles the dye-pot

Our call for a felted design for Smokey Jo’s Giant Oven Mitts in Book Two of the Potluck Yarn Trilogy is well under way.

Call for Designs - Smokey Jo Mitt

We chose the design because Smokey Jo, the gnome witch you meet in The Broken Circle is a pyromaniac who loves to light the fire under the Potluck dyepot for the simmers and is forever getting in trouble for lifting the iron burners off the cookstove in the Potluck kitchen to watch the fire burn.

Smokey Jo's Smoken Cowl Yarn Kit
Even her garment in Book One is a candlelight cowl she knit from a personal colorway she designed reminiscent of glowing embers she calls Smoken.

If you’d like to enter the design contest, we are accepting entries beginning May 1st.  For the yarn base, choose from Potluck Worsted or Potluck Bulky in any colors you would like.

The winner gets $250!
