Call for Designs - Smokey Jo Mitt

Save now at the Potluck Yarn Shop

We are calling for original designs for Book Two of the Potluck Yarn Trilogy, called Secrets of the Lost Caves.  Like The Broken Circle, it features a Companion Pattern Book.

The first item we seek is from a chapter called Burning Questions. The featured pattern is Smokey Jo’s Giant Oven Mitt, made from either Potluck Worsted  or Potluck Bulky Wool. Choose from handpainted or undyed singles and 6 packs, available for purchase at a special discount price for all contestants. Get 25% off any of these yarns with our special offer code SMOKEYJO.

Smokey Jo’s magical mitt fits all who wear it, and prevents any kind of burn no matter how hot the stove! Please note that we want only one mitt, and it can be knit or crochet, then felted. It would be great if the mitt was able to hang on a hook in the Potluck kitchen.

Submissions must be designed with Cherry Tree Hill Yarn. If we choose your mitt, you get $250, your pattern in our book and your name in print! We get the mitt and exclusive use of a magical pattern for our knitting witches.

Starting May 1, send in your mitt with original pattern and contact details to:

Potluck Yarn Design Contest
232 Elm St.
Barton VT 05822

We will post the first entries on line for all to see!  Design Submissions close June 30th.  We keep the winning mitt.  All others will be returned at our expense.
