Friday the 13th was a fun time for the knitting witches. Molly and Michael Carlson of The Urban Sheep hosted Cheryl for a book reading and trunk show at their yarn shop in Modesto, California.
So many people showed up over the evening, that Cheryl gave two readings from The Broken Circle. All of the garments from the pattern book were present as well as the 25 new colorways of Broad Band handpaints that Cheryl developed with fair trade co-ops in Peru.
Knitters were encouraged to try on the garments, the favorites were the Kimono and Traveling Cloak. A lively question and answer period followed in which Cheryl discussed the ins and outs of being an Indie author. If you are considering writing a novel, poetry book, nonfiction book or even a pattern book that is unconventional, join Cheryl Potter for her first ever Stitch and Scribe Retreat next April.
